About Bertie Historical Society

The Bertie Historical Society started Fort Erie's First museum in 1970. Its aim was to to collect, classify, and preserve information related to the Town of Fort Erie, and discuss historical artifacts related to our town.

The Bertie Historical Society was a big part of keeping the Bertie Historical Museum running (now the Fort Erie Historical Museum), with its volunteers helping run the museum from 1971 to 1987.
